Welcome Winifred, A Thanksgiving Puppy

We are doing it again.  I figure I have at least one or two more chow chows left in me.  The only thing that will help me feel better since losing Teddy will be Winnie. Look at the size of those paws!
My kind of puppy!
So, after I feed 20 people on Thursday, I will get up early on Friday and drive to the East coast to pick her up.  She is the cousin of Martha Stewart's newest chow.

Does this look like trouble or what?

P.S. She reminds me of Despicable Me when little Agnes was carrying the unicorn from the fair. She said, "it's so FLUFFY!!"

Congratulations on the new addition! She couldn't be any cuter. I have a feeling Santa will be leaving a very big stocking filled with puppy toys at your house this year. *smile*

I have just navigated through the most intense autumn and have finally come around to catch up with folks whose blogs I love, and I am so sorry to hear that it was Teddy's time to journey past this physical realm (the rose was surely her, though). She gave us all such joy through your pictures and stories. My beloved black cat Dexter passed at the end of July and it broke my heart. Yet he still shows up in so many ways.

I'm delighted by Winnie and that you found a new kitchen-mate and garden-helper. I can't wait to see the years of photos ahead. In the meantime, I'm sending so many hugs and so much love to you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving for this week, as well. (Make sure you sit down once in a while in between all your cooking!)

Very happy to read this, Joyce! Nothing better than a new puppy in the family and Winifred is such a cutie! Looking forward to many stories in the future.

I had to laugh! Winnie is my Mom's dog, a Yorkie with the attitude of a Pit Bull, the complete opposite of Beverly's Yorkies! We do call her Princess Winifred when she comes to stay, because she is the alpha dog wherever she goes.

I am so happy for you. Winnie is beautiful but does look like a handful! Safe travel aa you go to get here. Can't wait to see photos of her as she grows up and learn what parts of your beautiful yard she favors. Congratulations to all! After seeing all the wonderful things you are making for Thanksgiving, I am surprised we are all not clammoring for invitations. Have a blessed and peaceful Thanksgivkng, then rest well Thanksgivkng night because you are going to be busy with Winnie!
